Adding Indicators in Windows device
To add indicators when using MT4 for Windows, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the ‘Insert’ tab and click on the function icon.
- Select ‘Indicators.’
You can now select a range of indicators to customize and add.
Installing Expert Advisors on Windows
To add an Expert Advisor in MT4 for Windows, follow these steps:

Open MetaTrader 4
Launch your MetaTrader 4 platform. -
Access the Data Folder
From the top menu, click on 'File' and then select 'Open Data Folder.' This will open a file explorer window. -
Locate the MQL4 Folder
In the file explorer, find and double-click the 'MQL4' folder. -
Open the Experts Folder
Inside the MQL4 folder, open the 'Experts' folder. This is where you’ll place your Expert Advisor file. -
Add the Expert Advisor
Drag and drop your EA file into the 'Experts' folder. -
Restart MetaTrader 4
To complete the installation, restart your MetaTrader 4 platform. Your Expert Advisor will now be ready to use!
