How can I take a screenshot of MT4 on my device?
Screenshots are often extremely helpful when you need to contact our Client Services team with an issue.

COMPUTER
Windows
The commands used to make a screenshot via Windows computers vary depending on the version of Windows that you have. Below are some common methods:
- Press Ctrl + PrtScn - The entire screen will gray out. Select “Mode,” or in earlier versions of Windows, select the arrow next to the ‘New’ button. Select the kind of shot you want, then select the desired area to be captured.
- Alt + PrtSc buttons
- Fn + PrtSc
- Shift+Windows Key+S - Activate the screen capture tool
Please note: Different versions use different commands. Also, you may need to enable the PrtSc function before being able to use it. To do this, go to ‘Settings,’ then ‘Accessibility,’ then “Keyboard.’
MacBook
The command used to make a screenshot via Mac computers is Command + Shift + 5, or by navigating to Launchpad > Other > Screenshot. The screenshot usually gets saved to the Mac Desktop.
How can I clear a browser’s cache and cookies?
Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can be helpful for solving minor network problems or browser-related issues. To do this, use the steps below for your preferred browser:
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome.
- At the top right corner, click on the 3 vertical dots
- Click ‘More Tools’
- Select ‘Clear browsing data’ (CTRL + SHIFT + DEL)
5. Select ‘All time’ for the time range, tick ‘Cookies and other site data’ and ‘Cached images and files. You do not need to clear the Browsing history.
6. Select ‘Clear data’
IMPORTANT: If you clear your cookies and caches, you will be logged out of most websites. This means you will need to log in again by re-entering your login and password credentials.
Firefox
- On the main Firefox menu, click the icon showing 3 vertical bars – this is found in the top right corner
- Click ‘Settings’
- Select ‘Privacy & Security’
- Under the ‘Cookies and Site Data’ click the ‘Clear Data’ button on the right side.
5. Select ‘Cookies and Site Data’ and ‘Cached Web Content,’ then click ‘Clear.’ You will then need to confirm that you wish to proceed by clicking ‘Clear Now.’

Microsoft Edge
- Open the Microsoft Edge browser, navigate to the top right corner, and click the icon showing 3 horizontal dots
- Select the ‘Privacy, search, and services’ tab
- Go to the ‘Clear browsing data’ section and, under ‘Clear browsing data now,’ click ‘Choose what to clear.’
4. Under ‘Time range,’ choose a time range from the list
5. Click on ‘Cookies and other site data’ and ‘Cached images and files’
6. Select ‘Clear now.’

Safari (Mac)
- Open the Safari browser and at the top left, click the ‘Safari’ button
- Go to the ‘Advanced’ tab and then check the ‘Show Develop’ box in the menu bar
- Close the Preferences and click on the “Develop” tab on the main menu.
- Select ‘Empty Caches.’
- Go back to the “Safari” button and click again on “Preferences.”
- Under the ‘Privacy’ tab, select ‘Manage Website Data’ and tick the websites you wish to remove
7. Once done, click on Remove/Remove All.
MOBILE/TABLET
Chrome via Android
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.
- Click on the 3 vertical dots in the right top corner
- Tap ‘History’ and click on ‘Clear browsing data’
- Under ‘Time Range’ select the time you wish to delete. To delete everything, select ‘All time.’
- Tick the ‘Cookies and site data’ and ‘Cached images and files’ boxes.
6. Select ‘Clear data’
iOS (Safari)
- Go to the Settings option on your phone
- Click on Safari
- Scroll down until you find the option: ‘Clear History and Website Data,’ then select it
- Tap ‘Clear History and Website Data’
- Tap ‘Clear History and Data’ to confirm
