What is Terminal Window?
The Terminal Window in MT4 (MetaTrader 4) is a key component of the trading platform that provides essential information and tools for traders. "Terminal" is a multifunctional window allowing to access to various terminal features. This window allows to control over trading activities, view news and account history, set up alerts, and work with the internal mail and system journal.
It typically includes, but not only, the following tabs:
- Trade: Displays current open trades and their details, such as trade symbol, volume, entry price, and profit/loss.
- Exposure: this tab contains the summary information about the state of assets by all open positions.
- Account History: Lists past trades, including order details, execution times, and profit/loss.
- News: Provides the latest financial news and updates relevant to the markets you’re trading.
- Alerts: Allows you to set up and manage alerts based on price movements or other conditions.
- Journal: Records the activity and events of the trading platform, including any errors or warnings.
