How can I close my account?
Please note: Once an account has been closed, it cannot be re-opened at a later point.
Before closing your account, you must close any open positions and withdraw any remaining balance from your account. Accounts with funds in them cannot be closed automatically, but they will be marked as “Inactive” if there is no trading or account activity for a period of 12 months. Inactive accounts cannot be accessed or used to trade.
To clear your account balance, you can either:
- Donate the remaining balance to charity (please contact our Client Services team for more information on this), or
- Make an internal transfer to another trading account,
- Transfer the funds out of your account
To make a withdrawal, log in to the Axi Client Portal, select “Funds,” then "Withdraw funds" and choose a withdrawal method.
How can I request to close my account?
There are two ways to request account closure.
1. Online Form Request
Clients can request to apply for Account Closure directly via the online request forms. To do so, they need to go to the Help Center and click on 'Submit a Request.'
Under 'What do you need help with?', the client will choose 'Account Closure Request' and fill out all the required fields.
You can request to close one, multiple, or all of your accounts via the MT4 or Axi Trading Platform.
Ensure your account has no remaining balance before requesting closure. Please note that once an account is closed, it cannot be re-opened.
2. Email the Client Service Team to request an account closure.
Once the balance is zero, to proceed with the account closure procedure, you will need to contact our Client Services confirming your MT4 account number and a written request for it to be closed (e.g., “Please close my account XXXXX”). This request must be made from the email address you have registered with Axi which is linked to your MT4 account.
Please note: If your trading account balance is negative, you will need to remove the negative balance before making your request to close the account. Additionally, please be aware that if you have any open positions, they must be closed before proceeding with the account closure.
In the event of the death of an account holder, Axi should be notified as soon as possible.
I have more than one account, can I close just one of my accounts?
Yes, when asking for the closure of your account, you have the option to request the closure of one account, multiple accounts, or your entire profile. When contacting our Client Services team, kindly provide the specific account number(s) you wish to close.
