Trading Share CFD
Axi clients can trade shares as a CFD (Contract for Difference). This means you do not invest directly in, or take ownership of, any share of a company, but you can trade and profit from the real-time price movements of the underlying share in the open market. If the market price moved in the same direction as your trade, you would make a profit. If it moved against you, you would incur a loss.
Axi currently offers more than 100 share CFD trading options, including in the UK, US, and EU markets. For more information, please refer to our Product Schedule.
Please note: Share trading is not currently available on Demo trading accounts.
Minimum lot size on share trades
The minimum trading volume for share CFDs starts at 1 share and increases incrementally by 1 share thereafter. To calculate the minimum trade size on a share CFD trade, please refer to the example below as a guide:
Let us say you want to trade 100 shares of Disney at the current price of USD 175 per share, using a margin of 20%.
Formula: Number of Shares x Share Price x Margin Percentage
100 x 175 x 20% = USD 3,500
